NBDF’s 2025 Research Roundtable: Advancing Bleeding Disorders Research for Women and Girls
The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation's Bleeding Disorders Research Collaborative (BDRC) is working to make research more equitable and centered on the needs of patients. Last October, NBDF held the first Research Roundtable, which brought together a diverse group of stakeholders for an important convening about including women, girls, and people with the potential to menstruate (WGPPM) in clinical trials.
WGPPM have long faced barriers to being included in research efforts. By focusing on the participation of WGPPM in clinical trials, the Research Roundtable worked to address gaps in the understanding of how bleeding disorders affect WGPPM. You can join the efforts of the BDRC by getting involved as a lived experience expert or joining the community powered registry Community Voices in Research. Together we can ensure that WGPPM are included in research efforts and advance towards improving access to diagnosis, treatment, and care.
